The NUKI door lock is an electronic lock that runs on battery.
If you push the button, it will open the door for you. So does the keyboard on the outside. You can lock the door from the outside by pushing the little triangle/back button on the lower right corner of the keyboard. And of course you can use the key on the outside to lock/unlock the door.
You can also turn the ring to open or lock the door.
If the battery runs low, you can easily replace it with the second battery. ALWAYS HAVE THE DOOR OPEN WHEN CHANGING BATTERIES. It is in the cupboard in the entrance in the upper left drawer. One pack is black and one pack is white to keep track which one needs to be charged. Seems the black battery is low on capacity though. There is also a charger with a really long usb c cable. Recommendation here is to plug the charger in one of the sockets next to the oversized gummy bear and plug the really long usb c cable in the still mounted white battery pack for a day or so. Please be so kind and charge the battery from time to time for its ongoing use. You can see its status on the dashboard on the tablet. The LED will light up once it is charging.
