Sunsail

It is very straightforward to put the sunsail up, if you put it up in the following order 😊 To put it back down again follow the manual in reverse order. The ropes always stay on the house and poles.

STEP 1

The starting point is on the corner of the house. The sail is quadratic, so it doesn’t matter which corner of the sail you grab to get started. Hook it to the rope hanging from the house.

STEP 2

The second point is on the house on the right side of the door. Notice the hook can be lowered for easy access. Once the sail is hooked pull it all the way up until it won’t go any further. Tighten the rope to the clamp below.

STEP 3

Great! Now turn to the wooden pole opposite of the door. Very easy, there is already a fixed rope hanging there. Hook up corner number three of the sail.

STEP 4

Now is time for the fourth corner. This is the one which will get the tension to the sail. On this pole you can enlarge the rope up to the point where you can comfortably clip in sail’s corner number 4. Once clipped tighten the rope nicely. It is tight enough when there is good tension on the sail not wobbling in the wind. Rather tight than loose. The pulley has a break helping you not to lose tension while pulling the rope tight.

To put the sail down you repeat these four steps in reverse order, starting on the pole with the pully (picture above). To loosen the rope on the pulley you will need to pull the rope to release the brackets. Once released give room to the rope to easily unclip the sail.

Go to the other pole and unclip the sail. Rope stays on the pole.

Go to the rope next to the door, loosen it from the clamp, let the sail come down, unclip it. Clip the rope to the clamp.

Go to the corner of the house and unclip the last connection. Again, rope stays on the house.

Done.

The ropes always stay on the poles / house. Makes life a lot easier if you don’t have to fiddle with them 😊

You earned yourself a drink.
